Xiaomi has recently introduced its newest cellphone, Mi Mix Alpha. This phone has a different design from other Xiaomi phones. Reporting from the Engadget page, Wednesday (09/25/2019), the Beijing-based technology company revealed that Mi Mix Alpha has a screen-to-body ratio of 180.6 percent. This Xiaomi phone is equipped with aero-grade titanium which makes the phone lighter than stainless steel.

Not only that, but the phone is also equipped with the main camera sensor that is 108 MP. With this sensor, users are able to take photos with a resolution of 12,032 x 9,024 pixels.

Then, there is a 20 MP wide-angle lens and a 12 MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and dual PD focus. Because it has a nearly full glass screen, the camera is not equipped with a front camera. The rear camera can be used for selfies.

The cellphone is also not equipped with a physical button, other than the power button on the top. Other components are hidden under the screen, including a fingerprint reader and acoustic technology that replaces the typical earpiece and speaker. Like its predecessor, Mi Mix Alpha also uses ultrasound for sensing distances.

Inside, the phone will load a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage. The phone also has a 5G connection and is equipped with a 4,050mAh battery with 40W fast charging capability.

Currently, the cell phone is still in the form of a prototype. But Xiaomi claims that the phone is already in "small scale production" and will launch in December.

Unfortunately, it is still unknown whether the cellphone will be available outside of China. Xiaomi has also announced the Mi 9 Pro 5G, which is the world's first mobile phone with 30W fast wireless charging capability. That means you can charge your device wirelessly up to 100 percent in just 69 minutes.
